What is Linear Programming Problem (L.P.P)?
Definition:
Linear Programming is a technique for determining an optimum schedule of interdependent activities in view of the available resources.
Mathematical Formulation of L.P.P:
The following major steps are involve in LPP.
- Study the given condition to find the key decision to be made.
- Identify the variables involves in designate by symbol, xj(j=1, 2, 3,....)
- Identify the constraints in the problems and express them as Linear functions of decisions variables.
- State the feasible alternatives which generally are xj>=0 for all j.
- Identify the objective function and express it as a linear function of the decision variables.
