Explain the Type of Security Technology which is used in Cyber Security?

Security Technology:

There are number of technology which protect data from unauthorized access.

1. Firewall
2. VPN
3. IDS (Intrusion Detection System)
4. Access Control

Firewall:

It is a security technology that prevent the data from unauthorized accessing of viruses, worm and trojan over the internet.

It is a software and also hardware are combination of both. firewall by pass only the data that are not infected with viruses and worm and reject the data that are infected.

Type of Firewall:

• Packet Filter Firewall
• Application Filter Firewall
• Circuit Filter Firewall
• Dynamic Filter Firewall

Packet Filter Firewall:

* It is used in packet switching technology in which data is transfer into number of packet . the main responsibility of packet filter firewall is that.

* Validate each packet which are incoming or outgoing over the network.

* also maintain privacy by appending header information on each packet.

Application Filter Firewall:

this firewall work with 4 protocol (HTTP, SMTP, FTP & Telnet)

we bound the accessing of application by defining some access rule and denial rule.

by pass the application firewall which exist in access rule otherwise discard it.
